Suggestions

Particularly for African Cichlids, make frequent partial water changes (20%- 40% every 2-3 weeks) and readjust pH as necessary.

* If desired, double the usage of the buffer per 30 gallons to achieve a slightly higher pH target for Tanganyika species.

Ingredients

Contains a proprietary blend of four sodium and bicarbonate salts, together with essential trace elements which occur naturally in the African "Rift Lakes" Cichlid-waters of Lake Malawi, Victoria and Tanganyika.

Directions

The primary functions of pH Buffers are to resist pH-Drop (acidification), and to hold the pH at a given target pH and to increase carbonate hardness. This buffer also helps to reestablish a target pH level after making partial water changes with change water under target pH.

To RAISE a low pH and HOLD it at about 8.5:

Add 1 level scoop (5 grams) of this buffer / 30 Gal. (113.5 L).

To LOWER a high pH and HOLD it at about 8.5:

First adjust pH to 8.5 with a decreaser (MICROBE-LIFT/pH Decrease) and then add about ½ scoop (2.5 grams) of this buffer/30 Gal. (113.5 L).

Note: Pre-dissolve buffer in a small amount of bottled or dechlorinated tap water and introduce to your aquarium.
